The White Skulls
The White Skulls (백골단, Baeggoldan) were a notorious band of marauding bandits, filled with brutal murderers, lead by the infamous Wang Ahk, the Hand of Yama. The band carried an unrivalled notoriety for the cruelty and savagery, even among bandit gangs known for their savagery.[1]
History[]
In the past, their boss Wang Ahk was captured by the authorities after blacking out from drinking too much. The White Skulls then ambushed the escort, rescuing their leader.[2] Soon after, they hunted down a former member of theirs Hyeol Pyo who stole a crate of gold from them when he defected. The bandits slaughtered Hyeol Pyo's bodyguards and Wang Ahk finished off Hyeol Pyo himself.[3]
Not long after due to the intervention of Gang Ryong, the White Skulls went mad and voluntarily handed themselves into the magistrates.[4]
